aw and i have not worked on music for quite some time now. we've been pretty busy havin' babies and all. and.... most of my recording gear has been stored in my parent's basement since the great march flood. well, last week (or the week before, i can't remember) i decided to bring back some of the gear and set up sort of a mini studio in our living room - at least something where i could play around with the sessions i currently have recorded. well, to my surprise, after consolidating all the session files i had strewn across multiple computers and dvds, i came across 2 nearly complete songs that we recorded some time ago. one was recorded in our apartment in 'the lofts at the seville' - remember that place? good times.... the other we recorded shortly after setting up shop here at studio 729.

they are pretty rough, and i'm trying to expand my pro tools knowledge enough to clean them up and add to them. pro tools has advanced exponentially in the past 3 years, and i've learned a little here and there, so hopefully i can make them sound decent.

also, again hopefully, we will find the time to sit down and throw another 2 or 3 songs together, thus completing the aforementioned ep.

i told you we'd get the christmas '07 album out eventually.
