We did it!!

As all of you know, I am a huge animals rights advocate, and especially when those animals are pregnant. I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that one of the most important things on the 2008 ballot - Prop 2 in California - passed with 63% approval!

The Prop states that egg-laying hens, pregnant pigs, and cows, have a big enough place to live where they can stand up, turn around, and extend their limbs.

We can all hope that this sets a precedent and all hens and pigs and cows can have bigger homes to lay eggs and have kids in. I heard that the hens were about to protest if they didn't get this Prop 2 passed, so this is a huge step forward for all of us Americans that like omelettes and scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast.
a few things

let's all take a break from these heavy-topic, big-time comment blogs for an easy-reader.

Shan and I went to the Panera no-Bread Company last night and ordered 2 soups in a bread bowl. One with broccoli cheddar, one with baked potato.

"Um, we're out of bread bowls." the girl behind the counter says. uh, what? "Yep you're here right after the rush." (It's 6:15 and there are maybe 12 people there) In my mind I had 7 or 8 hilariously funny things to say back to her, but I didn't even start, we just left and went to another one. No point to the story, except that I want everyone that reads this to boycott the Sunshine Panera Bread Co.

I'm watching the news right now and there was just a story about some lady who had hard-to-press buttons on her Dish remote and so she got a replacement. Well the replacement had not only a remote with easy-to-press buttons, but somebody's dentures. Now that is hard-hitting news. That reminds me of another hard-hitting story about a year ago, and I want to remind all of you readers:

If you are at a house party and someone knocks on the door with a 'homemade with tape looking' tattoo gun, you're tinkerbell tattoo is going to look more like a beagle with a crooked nose.

Next topic - so where's the watch party on Tuesday night? If we invite the right people we could make it a watch party/debate.

why not get it over with

i think i might have figured out the ingredients for a good run:

- imo's pizza the night before (14" cheese)
- follow that with peanut butter pie from RT's new pie store
- sleep
- wake up and drink one good size mug of starbucks gold coast blend (extra bold, cream and sugar - but i drink it black when i want to)
- follow that with one bowl of natural granola cereal, skim milk
- follow that with 2 spoons full of peanut butter (JIF)
- run when it's 59 degrees with a slight rain
- new nike + running ipod thing (battery went dead on the old one)
- good playlist - grace kelly by mika, 3 keane songs, chris brown (i just listen to it for the beat)
- nice flat trail to run at sequiota

We did it!!!!

way to go world, we have finally saved this planet from global warming - here's the headline that was released today:

LONDON (Reuters) - The first half of 2008 was the coolest for at least five years, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) said on Wednesday...That would make the first half of 2008 the coolest since 2000.

idk if it was the big 'stop global warming' concerts that we threw or all the carbon offsets we bought, but whatever we did, we did it so good that now i think we need to worry about global cooling. It looks like we've kicked the temps down a little too much, i noticed it was a little chilly last night while i was out. admin, you need to go out and register www.stopglobalcoolingorweareallgonnadierealsoon.com ASAP.

other than that, is everybody dropping out of this half-marathon on november 1 or what? lotz and i are still in, so whoever still wants in just start running and running and running. it's a lot easier to run farther now that it's so cool outside. who's coming with me? who's coming with me? (movie quote)
