I feel like a traitor

My favorite movie theater in Springfield is Springfield 8. The coolest is The Moxie, but right now that is not the point. Recently Campbell 16 installed 3 DLP projectors, which is like watching HD on the big screen. Call me a tratior, but until Springfield 8 gets that IMAX theater, some DLP projectors, and some major remodeling(have you seen it lately) I can't help but go to Campbell 16. I could never say so long the the ole 8, but until they get it together, 16 cine will be my theater of choice.

R.I.P

Not a good day today. First, the famous movie preview guy has passed, and now Jerry Reed is no longer with us. East Bound and Down. more to come, on catchaflick, if that site still exsists. Man, I need to buy a computer.

I'm Telling You All For The Last Time

Its been long, way too long. What have I been up to lately? Working and playing, by playing I mean watching movies. This summer was the best summer for movies since '99. Summer is over and my neck line and waist line have reminded me that I should have spent more time outside than inside. Should of could of would of, that's not what this blog is about. I made my bed, now I have to lay in it. Let me tell you something kids, TV does not rot your brain, it makes you out of shape and fat. In just a quick fly by night matter of 90 days, I developed a bad routine of coming home after work every day and eating supper while watching a movie. I became a even more fat movie watching geek. This week I gave my self a wake up call.

My prevention plan is already underway. I know to some, and even ones I would consider my closest friends, that my talk about weight loss is cheap and one of legend. I agree 100%, I should have done this 6+ years ago. I just think the time is now, after its too late. What can I say, its my nature to put things off until the last min., or until I have a heart attack before I'm 40. Nope not going to be me, I love life too much.

Rocking Out!!!!!!!

For the past two weeks a lot of the music I have been rocking out to has been female rockers. The first artist I would like to mention is Cat Power. Chan Marshal(her real name) and her band deliever a soulful Memphis rock vibe that has to be heard to completely understand.

Check out: Cat Power - Jukebox (all tracks are awesome on this second covers record), but the album that will or should make you a fan for life is Cat Power - The Greatest

Another album that I just cant get enough of ,is the first Pretenders record.

Check Out or download the tracks, Mystrey Acheivment, Kid, Stop Your Sobbing, and Tattoo Love Boys. The whole album is worth having, but that's just me.

This blog comes to you coacher style...

Started walking with the intent to someday start running. It's going to be a long hard road, but I am in for the blood, sweat, and tears. This week was not off to a good start, only walked two nights, but that's no reason to quit. Thanks to all who have encouraged me.

Congrats to Brad(ley) and Mandy!!! Sorry for not saying it when you showed me your ring, I was too busy looking at that giant rock or I should say rocks. I wish the best for the two of you.

Starting today catchaflick.blogspot.com is back in full swing along with COX back in full swing at good ole dtb.c. I will be here to tell you what's on my mind, bands I'm listening to (Admin), and just whatever.

The Incredible Hulk 11:59pm tonight at the Dickinson Springfield 8
